Coffey Malt.

delicious, simple drinking whiskey. Something for the terrace in summer.

An interesting, but at best average Grain Whiskey at a totally overpriced price!

A very memorable whisky for sure, but for all the wrong reasons. It isn't cheap but it noses and tastes like a generic bourbon. It's not bad, but it just tastes just a supermarket bourbon. So I don't see a reason why I should pay extra to buy this again. It tastes similar to Jim Beam white. Skip this offering, it's a waste of money. Go for the coffey malt instead.
This would be nice on a sunny day, relaxing in the hamoc after moving the lawn.
Too young and boring
A littlyle bit of a sting on the nose, but also very fresh and fruity. Light and easy to drink. I think the finish might be dull to some, but it has a good length and a soft roll off. I'm almost out, but it's definitely one that will find its way back in my cabinet.

Good in a highball i supose.
Nikka Coffey Grain is quite a reasonable young whisky, but it’s still a touch underdone in places. There’s some enjoyable freshness and fruitiness in places, but it’s all too brief and not particularly complicated either. By no means flawed, but for personal taste I’d take the Coffey Malt every single day of the week. https://www.thedramble.com/tastings/miyagikyo-/nikka-coffey-grain/
Obviously we immediately recognize the typical cereals of grain whiskey, puffed rice, wheat germ, corn petals, with a fruity nuance, apple, vanilla, and also a chocolate nuance, more like milk chocolate, with an ounce of coffee . Fresh mint, honey, dry earth, icing sugar. On the palate, it's quite bourbon, yeast, crème fraîche, all that vanilla and honey, corn and hay. The finish is very nice, sparkling, with cola and mocha. Chestnut cream, ferns. It is quite successful in its genre, and grain whiskey lovers will be delighted. https://ilikesky2020.blogspot.com/2021/01/nikka-coffey-grain.html

Very nice grain. Unusual and really special. The most appropriate association that I have ever read was canned fruit salad. It takes a while to warm up with him, then you do not want to miss him anymore. If you really want to try something different, this is the place to go. Nice thing!

Smell:*Nothing special. Taste:Very mild, with little flavor coming through. It's really too light. I'm genuinely disappointed with this bottle, to the point that, rather than waste the booze, I ended up drinking it in cocktails.
Typical grain. Fresh nose. Sweet, oily but also Grain-spicy. The finish is quite long, characterized by spicy and malty flavors. A sample is enough for me.

A a sweet taste. But not too sweet.
Honey, malt caramels, melons, maize, grapefruits, biscuits and vanilla, slight peppery notes. The grain presents us with mouthfeel of oiliness. Easy sipper.

Jim Murray has awarded 94.5 points to the Nikka Coffey Grain. "Whisky, from any part of the globe, does not come more soft or silky than this..." Pure matter of taste. This series will be discontinued by Nikka in 2019!
This bottle will forever remain memorable to me, although this unfortunately isn't due to its direct qualities. After a very, very long hiatus from whisky, my love for Japan led me to this bottle, which opened up the world of whiskies for me once more. Coming back to this bottle after some thorough exploration, it doesn't hold up too well to newly established standards. Despite its lack of complexity -be it sentiment or not- I still like it enough that I expect to meet the bottom of the bottle one day. That will probably take a while, though, given my current wishlist and the limits of the human liver. In the meantime, my bottle of Nikka Coffey Grain will stand there as a beautiful reminder of new beginnings.

| Нос | 78 | Clear fruity esters dominate the nose for me. Sharp, undiluted I notice the alcohol more clearly than I like. A few drops of water help with that, notes of raisin are revealed. |
| Вкус | 80 | Chocolate biscuits and some fruitiness, but overall no strong flavours that stand out from the spirit-y base. Some water also improves the taste; brown sugar and liquorice. |
| Финиш | 79 | Not unpleasant but mostly just short lived. The liquorice lingers the longest. |

Usually I didn't have high expectations for any grain whiskey, but this one was far satisfying than I expected! While the main ingredient is different, it shares the fruity and tropical characteristics with Nikka Coffey Malt.

Nose: only for now Uhu all-purpose glue if you let it stand a bit, the glue evaporates a bit and leather notes come through to me. If you give it a little more time and with a little more distance to the glass, sweet notes come. Possibly cotton candy and some vanilla can be seen. I don't smell any citrus fruits as described! Taste: A bit taken away by the smell Owl. Bitter leathery first not my taste at all. But then... Caramel, banana, some lacquer cracks... WOW... Long, strong finish, which unfortunately also has a little bitterness. Overall impression: You have to give the whiskey time. He can't score on the first impression and the smell, but he's clearly catching up at the back. Not the best Japanese and also not the best grain I've been able to drink so far. But very interesting whiskey that is worth the money (I paid €47).

A Bourbon-style nose. On the palate, notes of licorice, rubber, and a hint of solvent. A fruity finish, but still with those chemical notes. It's rather perplexing, but for the same price, I'd choose the Nikka Coffey Malt without hesitation.

Very easy to drink.
Nose: Chocolate cherries, raisins, vanilla, rum Taste: Spicy, sweet, corn, rum, licorice Finish: Quite short, light, sweet
Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky 45%. Aroma is very pleasant - lots of lovely toffee, mango, granola, coconut-vanilla oak and fruity spirit. Wow that's a great nose. Really great. Surprisingly top class. Super sniffable. Taste is spicy and a bit hot. Some rough alcohol. Woody-spicy. The aroma is just top class but taste is not nearly as good. Faint toffee and mango. Boozy hot finish. Shame the taste doesn't live up to the aroma but it's a good whisky 3.3/79
- an interesting grain from Japan - tastes better and milder than some Scottish singles Unaged Grains (e.g. Cameron Brig) - but still no comparison to Coffey Malt or even other single malts from Japan - interesting but for about 50 € far too expensive

A great whisky to start the evening with and to enjoy. Just tasty and simple.

| Нос | 80 | Soft and fresh scent that welcomes you to drink. You immediately smell vanilla, blooming flowers and a pleasant freshness of fresh lemon. In the background you faintly smell apple and oak. |
| Вкус | 81 | Very soft and round, flavors of lime, vanilla, popcorn and honey emerge here. You barely taste the alcohol and the whisky drinks rather easily. |
| Финиш | 78 | Quite short and simple, here oak comes more to the fore assisted by vanilla. |

Nose: nail polish remover and ethanol. Maybe some old vanilla frosting in the background. Palate: have a very youthful metallic taste, more ethanol and grain forward. Semi sweet at all. Medium finish with some bitter oak and grainy sweetness. Had the bottle open for several months now. Has not gotten better. Sub
