That is very characterful, fruits, malt biscuits, ginger nut biscuits, waxy, some honey, some unripe green fruits and possibly kiwi. There is a lot going on here - I really love it. Great viscosity.

Quick hit review. We know Decadent Drinks is a quality source for single malts, and this multi-vintage Miltonduff is no exception. On the nose, tinned peaches, pears and honey are leading the way, followed by pineapple, oranges and wood spice. We're off to a good start. Citrus fruits and ginger dominate the punchy arrival before crisp apples, lime juice and marzipan shine through. It turns mildly dry in the development, but not unpleasantly so. Lemon balm, spearmint and hints of bitter almond fade in the medium finish. This might be the best Miltonduff I have tasted to date. RATING: 4.0/5.0 stars ≙ 88 pts → FIRST-CLASS

gorgeous style. Clearly mature, but neither sherried nor exactly the super fruity 'typical old speyside' style: it's more waxy and spicy than that. Beeswax, dried apricots, white raisins, ginger powder, dessicated coconut, canned mixed fruits, bergamoth rind, basil oil, long pepper. fruits are mostly on the nose, the spices are more prominent on the palate.

Нос	88	Medium strength. Grass and honey with a hint of melon and pear. Very pleasant to smell.
Вкус	88	More smooth honey, with caramel dipped apricots. Fruitcake and just a little bit nutty.
Финиш	87	Medium length and spicy. More wood notes here that I wasn't getting earlier. Mince. Perhaps a little jarring to go from sweet to spice, but not unpleasant.

In fact, the more I sip, the more I appreciate this whisky. The palate and finish are almost more beautiful than the nose. The longer you give this whisky time, the more beautiful the aromas and flavors remain. Wow!

BOTTLER NOTES: This Decadent Drams bottling sees us push this practice of multi-vintage, small batch bottling even further with a combination of a 2002 2nd fill barrel of Miltonduff with a 1991 refill hogshead. The distinct age gap here really helps to create something quite rich, luscious, spicy and striking. Fully refill matured, this is a big, complex, lusciously honeyed and nicely waxy example of mature Miltonduff.
