It’s soft and approachable, not my favorite version of Macallan (lacking boldness and sweetness), but yes it does have a nice ribbon of oak to support the sherry

Нос	86	The nose opens with a rich burst of vanilla, delicately complemented by a hint of fresh lime. As it evolves, the aromas transition to nearly ripe pears and a touch of floral blossom.
Вкус	86	On the palate, the whisky offers a gentle sweetness of crème brûlée, a dash of brown sugar, and a hint of hazelnuts. These flavors are beautifully balanced with subtle notes of soft oak and coconut.
Финиш	83	The finish is medium in length, with vanilla taking center stage once more, harmonizing seamlessly with the mellow presence of oak.

Cirque du Soleil The Macallan Vibrant Oak is the fourth release in the Harmony Collection and was specially bottled in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil for their show "Spirit," featuring the character Ayla, who represents vibrancy and the future. The whisky was matured in sherry-treated casks. The nose is creamy with notes of vanilla and lime sorbet, complemented by pound cake, stewed pears, and a generous floral note. Relatively dry, to be honest. The flavor is initially somewhat spicy from the oak, followed by a fruity sweetness that reminds me of apple, pear, and lemon. A touch of crème brûlée and almond shavings. Finally, a hint of rock candy. And yet, less sweet than expected, mainly due to the spice of the wood. It's also quite dry on the palate. The finish is medium-long, with notes of citrus peel and vanilla. Dry on oak. I certainly don't think it's bad, but it's too dry to be truly good. And it's too expensive, costing between €180 and €200.

An elegant, rather light Macallan, where the sherry-seasoned American oak delivers more vanilla, citrus and sweet oak than the classic dark raisin/chocolate notes.

Нос	89	Vanilla, sweet oak and citrus, along with apple, pear and lightly toasted almonds. Subtle spices and a hint of pastry in the background.
Вкус	90	Creamy and elegant. Vanilla, shortbread, apple, and lemon meet caramel, nutmeg, and toasted oak. The sherry influence is subtle rather than heavy and dark.
Финиш	88	Medium to long finish. Vanilla, sweet oak, citrus peel and spices linger cleanly.

When the liquid has nothing to say, it is perhaps inevitable to concentrate the narrative elsewhere: a harmless, forgettable dram with all the sins of youth of casks lacking much personality.

Нос	79	After an initial burst of vanilla, spices (nutmeg, cinnamon) and sponge cake, the nose opens up to citrus (lime, bergamot), yoghurt cream, almonds, pear juice and green tea. Trifle. In short, it becomes more acidic, towards fermented milk with spices. Vibrant Milk.
Вкус	78	Light in the mouth, as always, with the spices (also ginger and aniseed) underpinning the bitter notes of liquorice and rhubarb, with undertones of lemon cream, lime, marzipan, gooseberry, blackcurrant, toasted hazelnut and wood. Balsamic afflatus on the length.
Финиш	76	A rather short finish with spices, pear, liquorice, vanilla, vegetable and woody notes.

taste very similar to the colour collection: smooth, high-quality sherry, very "standard" and very balanced. nothing too complex or special. it's delicious in a sense but boring in another.

Harmonious and harmless. Clean, modern Macallan without any rough edges. By the way, the only thing that is relevant for the evaluation here is the content of the glass, not the price-performance ratio, to which I probably don't need to add anything more. Clearly emerged as the winner in a parallel tasting with the Macallan Green Meadow (WB240225).
