Нос	—	Light, warm smoke, heather, grasses, dried fruits, a bit of wild berry jam, nuts, leather, nutmeg, coffee, a bit of tobacco, wood
Вкус	—	Hui, significantly spicier than expected, lots of spices with lots of pepper, nuts, leather, dried fruits, tobacco, wood, a bit of ash

Нос	—	Strong sherry in the nose, very limited peat can be noticed later.
Вкус	—	Little complex, typical peated sherry
Финиш	—	Short, disappears quickly.

Нос	—	Nose very sherry but nevertheless quite fresh. Lemony wood that becomes tangerine with aeration. Maritime set, smoke free. Iodized scents, but you really have to look for them. Peppered caramel.
Вкус	—	Easy, greedy oily palate. On a light wood, a marine humidity. Citrus caramel with not very sweet cherry. Saline honey. Pepper that makes the transition, although a little too present for my taste. Good reduction, I would have had the impression of a blind CS.
Финиш	—	Lemony finish or on stone fruit juice depending on the sip. Chocolate. Dry wood.

I find it quite tasty. It's still quite closed in the nose and not really my thing, but then I like it very much. You can find the great HP orange with herbs again. Tasty and totally fine for the €60-70 asking price!

The WB data here says "4 Ex-Sherry Butts", but The Whisky Exchange (owned by the same folks as Elixir Distillers) state "two sherry butts and two ex-bourbon barrels" on their website, and they should know. Less sherried certainly than the all-sherry 2007 (WB169415), but every bit as good. I think I actually like it a tiny bit better -- it's more balanced on the palate.

Нос	87	A bit shier on the nose than the 2007 initially, but once it's gotten some air, you get the full-on HP treatment, with soft smoke, mineral / maritime notes and a lovely sweet-and-sour fruitiness.
Вкус	88	More assertive, better defined, and more clearly a HP on the tongue than the 2007. Excellent mouthfeel and balance. The 48 percent work perfectly as well. Crazy good for a 13-year-old.
Финиш	88	Lovely balance between the casks and the spirit, with the trademark HP smoke and florals coming through nicely.

From Whisky Exchange: A 13-year-old Orkney single malt from the eighth-release in the Single Malts of Scotland Reserve Cask series, that was made at an undisclosed distillery on Orkney and matured in a batch of four casks - two sherry butts and two ex-bourbon barrels - until 2022. Aromas of heathery smoke, mint, rich earth and dark chocolate fill the nose, complemented by notes of candied ginger, cinnamon, golden syrup and mint chocolate throughout the palate.

Good value for money! A slightly dirtier Highland Park. HP smoke, earth, tobacco, leather, heather, honey, gentle red fruitiness, spiciness (think black pepper), malt. Definitely not oversherried. Well matured.

Вкус	87	Nice interplay between ex-bourbon and ex-sherry influence. No off-notes. Good mouthfeel and viscosity.

Нос	86	Bark from green, freshly cut twigs, lemon juice, Bavarian block malt, hot sauna planks.
Вкус	87	Red cherry drops, honey, mead, sunflower oil. Lemon curd, some white pepper.
Финиш	86	Ginger with elderflower jelly, interesting note at the end. Then ends on lemon oil.
