Нос	86	Very nutty and very minty, which is a rather peculiar combination. Some blackcurrant behind that. Slightly puke-y, but that whiff doesn't ruin it.
Вкус	88	Blackcurrant, hazelnut paste and peanut butter. A little apple. Still some peppermint, but not as strong as in the nose.
Финиш	88	Blackcurrant, dark chocolate, hazelnut, peanut butter, mint and apple.

Seriously good whisky for its age. An excellent sherry cask has been used here. Old wood, sour sherry notes, not too heavy on the red fruits/berries, quite spicy (ginger and black pepper), malt, light coffee bitter/earthy notes, molasses, and caramel/honey sweetness. Takes water very well without disintegrating.

Нос	89	The alcohol is too heavy on the nose. What a surprise at 65,2% ABV, right? This whisky urgently needs water! After dilution to about 48%, the nose becomes very beautiful.
Вкус	91	This whisky has all the right notes of a successful sherry maturation, and has no off notes like Sulphur or metallic notes for instance. If it had a little bit better balance (less spiciness and more sourness and red fruits), I would score it overall way over 90. But it might be just a case of personal preference here, of course...
Финиш	88	Medium to long.

One of the best 10 year old sherry whiskys I've tasted this year. Fruity, malty, clear sherry flavors without covering the distillery character. Comes close to some Glenfarclas Family Casks. Would I pay 125€ for it? I do not know. ????

The Sherry is intense, with lots of red fruits, blueberries, blackcurrants, acerola, and fermented watermelon juice. Lightly charred wood, earthy notes, and licorice. Cherry clafoutis, blackberry jam, apricot liqueur. Green tomato fritters. On the palate, it's sweet, with redcurrants, pomegranate, raspberry coulis, intense spices, nutmeg, and hazelnut. The finish is as long as it is explosive, a real cluster bomb: salted caramel, anthemis, melted butter, mahogany, and a hint of lemon. Celeriac. The cask is of good quality, resulting in a fairly intense Sherry Bomb, with rich and varied flavors. A great whisky, despite being young, but well-balanced and perfectly composed. While the aroma is slightly out of sync with the rest of the composition, this whisky is perfectly proportional to the other components, despite being "aged" for only 10 years. It warms up pleasantly, gently caresses the palate, and yet on the "meter" it's a trifle over 65%... And most importantly... I managed to buy it on a good sale for €92, an excellent price for this quality.

Нос	89	strong Sherry, oak with varnish, resinous, nuts, dark chocolate, coffee grounds,
Вкус	90	strong, intense, with a lot of resin, malt, young oak, dark chocolate, raisins, cherry liquor, slightly spicy finish with notes of varnished oak board, straight from the carpenter
Финиш	90	delicately sweet with buckwheat honey, very resinous, fresh oak, nutty liqueur with cherry extract, rough and spicy on the palate, but still with strong plum jam accents

Guaranteed to kill every microbe and bacteria in your throat neat. An amazing sherry cask was used here, but perhaps the Macduff that comes with it isn't of the same caliber? Still I quite like the end result, and based on how differently I thought about a freshly opened sample and a return to the same almost 6 months later, I think this whisky benefits from the bottle being open a while.

Нос	—	The sherry is upfront and high quality. It must be to mask the 65% ABV that well :) Walnuts, bouillons, chili skins, and high quality wood. The first time I try this it also has some pine-y over-extractive vibes like young American malts, but on the 2nd round many months later those seem to have receded. There is a prominence of dry, tannic wood but it smells really nice...
Вкус	—	Stings like a bee neat. I can taste the strong sherry and the wood spices, but not much else. Adding water made it dry and spicy on my first try, but months later it tamed the dram in an appreciable way and now I can find the Macduff in it. The distillate is by no means magical (it reminds me of Strathmill and other such b- or c-class distilleries) but it does no harm. I shudder to think what this cask could have done to, say, Glendronach, Glenfarclas or even Glen Elgin.
Финиш	—	Water flattened the finish at first, but on my second try I feel like it lingers appreciably. It goes dry in the end which stops me from awarding it over 85 points.
