A very pleasant Highland Single Malt. Sweet, honeyed with plenty of juicy fruit, pleasantly warming with a tart tongue and a scratchy palate.

Should I try another Highland Park then? I got it from a fellow dram, so I have no other choice, right? The whisky has a very light color. Refill sherry? Maybe a 3, 4, 5, or 6 fill? Maybe I'm just allergic to the HP profile.

Hallmarks of a good HP. Floral, with chalk, saltiness, gentle peat, meatiness, all the jazz. Lovely. Close to 89 for me.

Wonderfully aromatic: salt, blooming heather, lemon, lime, a touch of honey, delicate peat smoke, and tart nuts. With water: salt, blooming heather, orange blossom, mead, malty notes, and all in all, very aromatic!

Very reasonable Highland Park. The cask is certainly refill, and imparts more mineral and estery impressions than traditional sherry flavours. As a result it appears younger but without any rough edges.
It's floral and slightly mineral, limestone and quartz, lilac, airy and iodine-rich, sea spray, foam, then a chalky peat settles in. Gravel, pebbles, seaweed and kelp, pine honey, heather and a touch of vanilla, candied lemon and mirabelle plums. Chewing tobacco, very discreet smoke, warm wax, a eucalyptus leaf. On the palate, more honey, greengage tart, royal jelly, intense spices, almond oil. A very spicy, powerful and long finish, clove, cigar ash, pecan nut, cola, a slight woody bitterness, green apples, artichoke heart. Tinder. There are a few minor flaws: a palate that isn't entirely expressive and a slightly bitter finish.
