Very nice and sufficiently complex nose. The whole is very drinkable, both the bourbon and sherry influence are clear. A lot less woody than the standard Double Cask series.

The notes are severely bitter and chalky, which completely overwhelm the subtle almond notes that attempted to emerge. The finish lingers on bitter wood reminiscent of quinine bark. A significant disappointment for this latest cuvée.

An elegant and very harmonious Macallan that prioritizes finesse over power. The sherry and bourbon cask influences are beautifully balanced. It tastes very good, but not quite on par with the strongest sherry cask bottlings on your list so far. As part of the Harmony Collection, it also possesses a certain collector's appeal.

Нос	89	Elegant and soft: orange, lemon, vanilla and fresh pastries. Plus honey, ripe fruit and subtle oak.
Вкус	90	Creamy and balanced. Vanilla, melon, citrus, and classic Macallan sherry profile with a touch of almond and sweet oak spice. Elegant, but not overly powerful.
Финиш	87	Medium to long finish. Vanilla, citrus, dry oak, and a touch of sherry sweetness. Clean and harmonious, but could use a bit more punch.

A promising nose that doesn’t hold up on the palate, even in its autumnal evocation it only half succeeds, choosing to tread already known paths and with a basic youth that leaves no room for depth.

Нос	84	On the nose, it is chestnut honey embraced by vanilla that starts in the glass, with hints of red fruits (currants, raspberries), dried apricots, coconut, argan oil, almonds. Vegetal and slightly floral veining in the base. The soft, warm notes are in a constant battle for supremacy with the pungent, herbaceous ones, losing out in length on points.
Вкус	80	The enveloping part, which struggled to hold its position on the nose, capitulates definitively on the palate, swept away by the acidulous notes of the red fruits that take the stage, with the help of the herbaceous part (green tea, eucalyptus), fruit (green apple, pear, almond), lemon peel, ginger, a touch of malt and mentholated afflatus.
Финиш	82	The finish is quite long, in which the herbaceous and sherried parts chase each other, together with bitter notes of cinchona, almonds, hints of caramel and wood.

It smells like wood and is flat, like a board. Wood glue, fresh wood shavings, resin, a light touch of vanilla and apple syrup.

Amber colored whisky with aromas of bourbon vanilla, caramel and rose water. Rich taste of caramel (Lange Jan). Long sweet aftertaste of flowers, vanilla, cream and caramel. A vanilla bomb - and a very atypical Mac. Price: DKK 1,599. Grade 8/13 or 80/100
